I learned presence before I had a word for it — from my mother, Martha. She never lectured me on it. She simply showed up, fully, again and again, gave people her whole attention, and never kept score. That was the standard. This is me trying to live up to it, and pass it on.
I didn't build this because the world needed another clothing brand. I built it because I kept meeting people who carried something heavier than they let on — and carried it with grace. The parent working a double. The student studying after everyone slept. The friend who showed up, every time, asking for nothing. None of them called themselves leaders. All of them were.
You don't have to be loud to be the example. You just have to be consistent.
This is for them. For you. The way you live can become someone else's example — so wear it as a reminder of the standard you already hold yourself to, and watch the room rise to meet it.
